Access permits and Waimangu free visit

Access permits

Recreational access permits allow you access to Kaingāroa Forest during the hunting season.

If you are a registered member of Te Mana aged 15 years or over, you can apply for a permit and get a $50 waiver of the administration fee for access into the Kaingāroa Forest. To get your permit, please click the link below.

Waimangu visits

Ngāti Rangitihi registered beneficiaries are able to enjoy Waimangu Volcanic Valley for free any day of the year, following a special offer from Waimangu Volcanic Valley.

Ngāti Rangitihi registered beneficiaries must book their visit using the form below. Te Mana will confirm your request to visit Waimangu with an email. Please visit the Waimangu website to view tour times.

Are there others in your group?

  • Please complete details (Full name, Date of birth and member ID ) for each individual visiting.

  • If a member does not Whakapapa to Ngāti Rangitihi or Tūhaurangi, they will have to pay the normal entry fee

  • If you have more than 5 additional people in you group please contact us directly to confirm your booking
